I traveled from Mumbai to Ho Chi Minh City (VJ-884) on September 27, 2024, with my 80-year-old mother. It was our first time flying with VietJet Airlines and experiencing Vietnamese culture. Unfortunately, we encountered a particularly rude male flight attendant. When my mother asked him for water upon boarding, he curtly informed her that it would be served later with the meals. About half an hour later, when the meals began arriving, we received one bottle of water each. My mother requested an extra bottle, which the female flight attendant provided. Shockingly, the male attendant then demanded the extra bottle back, snatching it from my mother’s hand. This behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful. He could have asked money for the bottle of water rather than snatching it. This encounter left a very negative impression of Vietnamese hospitality. Such behavior is not fitting for the airline industry and reflects poorly on the country. If anyone had a similar experience, I’d like to hear how you would react if someone snatched a bottle of water from your mother. I didn’t catch the name of the attendant, but I would recognize him if I saw his picture in the future. VietJet can easily identify him based on the flight details I've share with then on email sent on 7th October 2024. Additionally, I found it bizarre that they required a boarding pass from each passenger before serving meals. My boarding pass was in my bag, and I had to retrieve it, which I’ve never experienced in my many travels. I will not fly with VietJet again and will strongly advise others to be cautious as well.

I've flown Air Asia and Air AsiaX on a few occasions with no problem, but I'm thinking of the Air Asia Indonesia plane which crashed into the sea in 2014. It was flying on a day when it didn't have clearance from the Indonesian authorities to take off, it had a maintenance issue which had been occurring for many months, and the pilot disregarded procedures when he attempted to fix the problem, thus causing the crash, ie major problems with administration, maintenance, and pilot training. So how can you be sure this part of Air Asia deserves a 7 star rating?

That’s so awful!!!! We already have another flight booked with American, booked months ago, but we will avoid them at all costs for future travel…. I’m sure you’ll be doing the same.

Splitting Qantas and Jetstar could reduce Qantas’s market dominance, potentially leading to fairer practices and better customer treatment through increased competition. This split might also make it easier for regulators to enforce consumer protection laws, ensuring companies adhere to fair practices and improve service quality. Both measures aim to enhance consumer experiences, either through direct penalties or by fostering a more competitive market environment.

Well airfares have gone up, so I call BS on just about everything Geoffrey Thomas says!

Mr. Geoffrey Thomas, Would you be willing to look at new research I have developed that uses civil engineering drafting to locate the crash site of MH370. While my research was done blindly, it shows that MH370 crashed right where all the debris was first noted between March 15 -27, 2014. Ronald B Hardwig, Professional Engineer

Based on the images it looks pretty nice, the interior design is very much improved. Dining when you like sounds great, because lots of travellers just want to sleep without interruptions, but it also mean the person in front of the diner will have to put their seat upright at any time to accommodate them. I don't like the tighter space between seats on economy, and I don't think the doorless lavatories are going suit everyone 😉

Hi Geoffrey Thomas, Your 'airlineratings' program has a criteria to give ratings for airlines. Accordingly under which critiria you have quickly decided to downgrade SriLankan Airlines rating to 6 from 7? And have you collected any evidance pertaining to this incident before Civil Aviation Authority complete an inquiry? If your ratings are just based on Newspaper articles, then that will be questionable about the credibility of ratings.

I'm glad other people have this perception of the brand. I certainly don't. After two 737 Max crashes, a door blowing out on a 737, problems with early 787 battery fires, and a much delayed new 777 program, I feel queasy every time I get on a Boeing. As to be expected, when the engineers who once ran Boeing have long since been replaced with accountant types who only have an eye on the stock price, and have little concern about longer term issues that might damage the brand (like planes crashing because of defective design or assembly). A bit like Qantas, really, who've gone from one of the most trusted brands in Australia to one of the most distrusted.

I have never seen such wild extremes people have gone to try and locate where Malaysian Flight MH370 crashed. While good old engineering drafting and cartography can locate where MH 370 crashed by plotting it right on a Zoom Earth Satellite view map. Zoom Earth Satellite even takes into account the curvature of the Earth. In Mr. Geoffrey Thomas's summary of results, he figures that a total score of 24% shows us where the plane crashed, Good Luck! I have sent him and Ocean Infinity Civil Engineering drawings of where MH370 crashed. In fact, it crashed right where all the debris was first found between March the 18th and the 27th of 2014. If you have any questions, why don’t you or Ocean Infinity contact me? I hate for Ocean Infinity to do all this research and not find Malaysian flight MH370. What have you got to lose just talking to me? Ronald B Hardwig, Professional Engineer [email protected]

We don’t want bigger screens or mood lighting, we want bigger seats Qantas! Changes like this will have you remain the most hated company in Aust.

Unfortunately I think the arrival of this aircraft into the Qantas fleet signals the beginning of the end for wide body travel across Australia.

I would definitely be willing to fly a safe dry airline. With how poorly some passengers act in flight, being dry can only help. Some people come completely unhinged. Alcohol only fuels weird behaviors.

I, Ronald Hardwig, PE, am still awaiting a return contact from Ocean Infinity or Mr. Geoffrey Thomas. By using NASA's Zoom Earth Satellite Landsat program, I have been able to plot where MH370 crash landed in the Indian Ocean. I have done land surveying with my dad since I was 11 years old. I took drafting in Junior High School. I worked as a draftsman doing civil engineering and mechanical engineering drawing. I have had a team of draftsmen under me doing road design and drafting for years, Therefore, the only thing I had to learn was how to do drafting right on the computer screen using NASA's Zoom earth Satellite Program, which I was able to do. Was it difficult to do, YES! Because all you had to work with was the fact that one can find the distance between any two points anywhere around the earth. But that is all that is required to solve where MHJ3780 crashed. All I am asking is that someone look at my research, what have you got to lose? Ocean Infinity is willing to spend millions of dollars with the chance that they will find MH3780 and get a return of $70 million. Why not look at all the options? Ronald B.
